Intro to Homotoxicology

The human body has an amazing super power – it can heal itself. If you cut yourself, the injury will heal automatically. You don’t need to tell your body to do it, or how to do it, because it already knows what to do to heal the injury. This is not exclusive to injury, but includes illness as well.

Homotoxicology is the study of toxins and the way the human body removes them. Homotoxicological theory is that the severity of an illness or disorder is directly related to the body’s ability to detoxify itself. Ideally, toxins are excreted through sweat, urine and feces. However, when the immune system is weakened, the body’s ability to detoxify is also compromised.

Homotoxicology practices focus on the concept that each human being possesses an innate self-healing ability that can both prevent and treat illness. Homotoxicological therapies aim to stimulate and regulate the body’s self-healing capabilities by building internal functional strength to cleanse the underlying toxicity, promoting the elimination of homotoxins and ultimately leading to the resolution of illness.

While allopathic medicine focuses on treating the symptoms of disease, Homotoxicolgy views an accumulation of toxins as the cause of disease, and the symptoms as the body’s way of defending itself by purging toxins or attempting to compensate if elimination is not possible

When the body encounters homotoxins, it works through 6 phases that either eliminate or deposit them in an attempt to maintain health.

Phase 1 – EXCRETION.

The body tries to excrete the homo-toxins via sneezing, coughing, sweating, vomiting, urine and feces.  If these excretion methods are unsuccessful, the body moves to a reactionary Phase 2.

Inflammation is the body’s reaction to the homo-toxin.  The result is fever, swelling, mucus production, etc, the natural processes used to move the toxin into Phase 1 where it can be excreted.

When the body does not have enough resources to move a toxin out via Phases 1 and 2, it deposits the toxin somewhere within the body. The purpose is to allow the body to recoup its resources to allow the strength required to move the toxin.  But if this doesn’t happen and a new toxin comes in, the body will move to Phase 4.

This happens when the body places one toxin on top of another, until the area begins to be unable to function as normal and moves into Phase 5.

This is where the body stops functioning properly and begins to break down.  Some of the diseases and illnesses listed in Phase 5 include fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, lupus, and heart attack.  If the body continues to accumulate toxins, it will eventually move to Phase 6.

This phase is also known as the Cancer Phase.

The phases were put into table form by German Physician, Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg and has been in use since the 1950’s.

In order to obtain, and maintain, optimal health, your body needs to be really good at detoxifying itself. Even more so when being bombarded daily by environmental toxins. Use of the Lights can help support your body through the detoxification process. Applying LED lights has been proven effective at increasing circulation. Good circulation is necessary for good, natural, detoxification of the body because toxins are (mostly) moved through the blood stream to the liver, gall bladder and kidneys for elimination.

Using the Balance Technique is a great program to support your body through its natural detoxification process.
