Light Therapy Research – Kidney Disease

NOTE: Researchers use several terms to describe “light therapy”. Photobiomodulation, low level light therapy (LLLT), phototherapy, photon therapy, photo energy, heliotherapy, and sometimes red, blue or (near) infrared radiation are synonymous; they all refer to light therapy.

 

Light therapy for chronic kidney disease

The purpose of this study was to investigate light therapy‘s effect on chronic kidney disease and for the researches believe that they were able to document, for the first time, that light therapy had a protective effect regarding renal interstitial fibrosis.
